Indie Game Review: Reprisal

Sifting through the myriad of indie and other free-type games out there can be time consuming. Coming across one that is a truly a gem should be celebrated. Reprisal is one of these.  Indie.  Remake.  Demake.  Free.  Who cares.  It's fun.

Retro DOS Review: Defender of the Crown

Although it lacks the depth of a really great turned-based strategy,  Defender of the Crown is very easy to learn and pretty fun.

Really cool 8-bit soundtrack with matching artwork.  Really got the attitude of 8-bit game music right.

Retro Flash Game: Monkey Island Swordfighting!

You fight like a dairy farmer!

Check out this awesome flash game recreating the swordfighting games from Monkey Island!  Don't be scared to lose, as you have to fight more pirates to learn the right responses to the insults.  The same site also has a few other flash remakes of older games on the bottom.  Enjoy!

Retro DOS Review: SimCity 2000

In celebration of the impending release of the new SimCity (I got a chance to play it at a game convention. It was awesome.), we take a look back at one of the best in the series, Sim City 2000.

Retro DOS Review: Great Games to Kill Time

Mobile games have become a huge part of the game market nowadays. Here's a couple titles that I sunk hundreds of hours into as a kid that I feel are still better time wasters than some of the social site and mobile games out there now.

Retro DOS Review: Beneath A Steel Sky

I read a great quote somewhere recently (I wish I could remember where so I could give credit) making a very simple comparison to adventure games of today and older ones. It said:
Nice sweater!
"An adventure game is not an adventure with puzzles in it. It's an adventure with adventure puzzles in it."
